I’m planning to come to San Antonio on 6th September and I want to take the package “Package B: Sightseeing Tour / Tower of the Americas / Free Boat Ride”. Please furnish me the details. How about the payment and Iternary?

    • Admin Post author

Ram, just come down to Alamo Plaza and visit us in the San Antonio Visitor Center outside the Menger Hotel. You can purchase your package there and board the bus across the street. You can use the Tower and free boat tickets anytime during your visit. We accept payment by cash or credit card. Your itinerary is up to you. You will have a 48 hour tour pass so you can ride as much as you want. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Mike McG

I’m trying to buy Hop-On Hop-Off San Antonio tickets on-line but don’t see a link anywhere to purchase tickets. It references a “buy now” page but I don’t see it anywhere. Can you buy the tickets on-line? Please advise.
    Thanks,

    • Admin Post author

Hi Mike! We just put our new packages page up last week and the online buying portion is not up yet. When are you coming? You can visit us in the San Antonio Visitor Center outside the Menger Hotel to purchase your tickets or just purchase them when you get on our double decker bus.

  • Cheryl Wood

We are planning our honeymoon. We were wanting to dine at the restaurant at the top of the Tower of America. Will we have to pay admission charge to get to the restaurant?…if so, and we decide to buy the tour package that comes with admission to Tower of America will that get us into the restaurant? Also, is it necessary to make a reservation for the restaurant at the top of the Tower of Americas?

    • Admin Post author

Hi Cheryl and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! If you want to go up to the restaurant you do not have to pay to go to the top. We operate from 9:30am to 5:30pm, but you are going to want to eat dinner up there at night. The view of the city lights is spectacular! As far as reservations go, yes it would be a good idea to have one. Their phone number is 210-223-3101 and a link to their website is here, http://www.chart-house.com/locations/san-antonio/.

Congratulations again and if you want to take our tour, just come see us in Alamo Plaza!

    • Lori

Happy hour at the chart house is to die for and it is reasonable! Just look all around San Antonio there are great places with great happy hour menus. Several out on 1604 and 281 about 15 minutes from downtown but well worth the drive. Also check out the Quarry restraunts

  • gloria

I am planning on Package B or D and have a coupon from the city-sightseeing website for the double decker tour. Do I bring this coupon to the office and get the discount at that time? there is no code on the coupon but I want to use it for the package tours.
Please advise and I will copy your response to bring when I purchase my tickets.

  • Daniel Chow

I am trying to purchase 8 adult tickets, but I can’t find an active link on your website to order the tickets. Where is it? Is there any additional discount for a group of 8? How about any senior discounts?

    • Admin Post author

Daniel, we have not deployed our new online booking service yet. Just come over to the San Antonio Visitor Center outside the Menger Hotel and you can purchase whatever you all would like. Our departure point is right across the street. Our best discount is at the following link. Just print it and bring it with you. We look forward to seeing you all! http://www.sanantonioattractions.com/pages/coupons.html

  • Pat Golgert

I’m bringing a group of 13 to visit the missions in San Antonio in Jan 2016. We come from Uvalde, Austin,
Fredericksburg, Marion & Driftwood. We’d like to meet at a central location in San Antonion where we can board a bus to take us to the missions. Is that a possibility? We’ve all been to the Alamo numerous times so it would be the other 4missions that we want to visit this time.

  • Mike McG

If I buy the SuperPackage I understand I have a 48 hour period to use the Double Decker Sightseeing Tour Pass. Do I have to use all of the admission tickets to the various attractions within that same 48 hour time frame or can they be used any time? I plan on being there from Friday, Dec. 4th through Wed. Dec. 9th. Thanks!

  • A Wiebe

Groupon has a “double-decker bus tour for two adults” deal for $24 through your company. Do you honor tickets bought through them or match their price?

    • Admin Post author

We do not match or “honor” tickets or Groupons bought for other tour companies. We do have a Groupon online as well so you are more than welcome to search for ours and purchase it.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Clynton. There is not a specific mission tour but there is a tour company that stops at a couple of them. If you come to Alamo Plaza just look for the buses that look like trolleys. They are the ones that go down there.

  • Dee Jackson

I’m surprising my husband with a trip to our meeting place for our 35th wedding anniversary. Are the tour tickets the same if I purchase them on line or once we get there? Thank you
We will be there on March 7.

  • Nashana

    Hello,

I see that you have a package available through Groupon, but its for two adults and three children. My question is can i get that package and be able to use it if its only one adult and three children.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Goodman. Yes you can. But please remember we are extremely busy at this time of year. The easiest thing for you to do would be to buy them online or come to our San Antonio Visitor Center location on the outside of the Menger Hotel.

  • Harvey and Elizabeth Koester

Hi Folks – We are from Oregon and leave next week for a long road trip which will take us to several places in Texas, including a few days in San Antonio in mid April. Read your website and are planning a bus tour and likely will choose one of the packages. A big question by us and many others always is – Where do you park? Where is good secure, preferably free, nearby parking to the place we buy the bus tour tickets and start the tour, #1 stop in your route? Thanks.

    • Admin Post author

Hello Harvey and Elizabeth. There is great parking in the garage at Rivercenter Mall right next door to us. There is not any free parking anywhere near our San Antonio Visitor Center Office located on the outside of the Menger Hotel. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Chris Dokter

Can the double decker bus tickets be purchased on the bus at any of the stops or does it have to be at #1 on the route map?

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon, Chris. If it is a slow day the drivers can sell you a ticket at any of the stops. The busier days it gets difficult to do without slowing the tour down too much. We would prefer you come to our San Antonio Visitor Center on the outside of the Menger Hotel if you can.

    • Admin Post author

Hi Mick. The Rio San Antonio cruise lasts about 40 minutes. But you do not have to do it during the sightseeing tour. We give you tickets for the boat tour and you can do it whenever you want.

  • Lydia Mata

I’m interested in purchasing Package E. My youngest daughter is 3 so I understand she does not need a ticket for your bus but will she need a ticket for the Tower of Americas and the River Cruise?? Also, will we be able to take a foldable stroller onto the bus? Thank you in advanced and I’m so looking forward to our visit.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Lydia. Your 3 year old will not need a ticket for the boat ride or the Tower. Yes you can bring your foldable stroller on the bus. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!

  • syed ali

I booked the E-package online but I do not received any email confirmation and I do not have my confirmation code. I did close the window before saving the confirmation.

    • Admin Post author

Hello Alicia. That really depends on what you all like to do. Our most popular package is Package E. It includes the tour, a river boat tour and admission to the Tower of the Americas. You would all have a lot of fun with that one.

  • Judy

What would be the closest stop to the O’Brian Hotel on Navarro St. and how far a walk would that be? If we had to buy tickets near the Menger Hotel how far a walk is that from the O’Brain hotel? Thank you.

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon Judy. Our closest stop would be our stop number 17, the La Villita/Tower of the Americas stop. It is located on South Alamo Street. That is just a couple of blocks from your hotel. A walk from the O’Brien to our San Antonio Visitor Center location at the Menger would be about 15 minutes.

  • whitafred

Hi. It’s my first time visiting san antonio. The bus tour and boat ride seem similar- one on land, one on water. is there a difference? Can I use the bus pass one day and the other the boat?

    -thanks

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon. Our double decker bus tour and the boat tour are completely different. Our bus tour goes to many more places than you can go to on the boats. Yes, you can use your tour ticket one day and ride the boat tour on another. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Rose

Can ya’ll customize packages? I have a few people coming into town later in the year and I want them to experience the bus, imax, and battle for texas. Is there a package for that? Thanks!

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Rose. Yes you can. Just come to our office at the San Antonio Visitor Center on the outside of the Menger Hotel and our Staff can do that for you. We look forward to seeing you!

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Terry. We do not have senior pricing on packages because they are already discounted. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!

  • Olga

There is a deal on groupon.com $25 for two adults.
We will be coming from Houston, two adults and 1 y.o. child.
Q1. Can a child without a car seat be sitting on parents lap?
Q2. If we purchase that ticket now 10/06/16 but will be coming to San Antonio 10/08/16 (two days later). Would that ticket still be valid or it expires within certain period of time?
    Thank you in advance!

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon Olga. We answered two of your questions in an email that you sent us. Please note however that Groupons are blacked out and not valid for the month of October.

  • Adarsh

Hi I stay in Home2 Suites near to San Antonio Airport. I am interested in Package B. Is the pick up bus coming near to my location?
Can you please share the timings of the tour as well

  • Amy

I will be in San Antonio from December 2nd to the 5th. I would like to buy a sightseeing package that includes hop on-hop off bus, River walk Cruise, and another attraction, or 2 if possible.
My question is, Could I use the river walk cruise on Friday Dec 2nd and start using the 48 hour hop on/hop off from Saturday until Sunday?

  • Sherry

I bought a Double-Decker bus tour for two adults from Groupon and just noticed it says not valid October and November 2016 – and I will be vacationing there over Thanksgiving weekend and want to use this voucher. Am I going to be able to use this voucher? Please let me know. Thanks,

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Sherry. As you saw on the Groupon website, they are blacked out for the month of November and no you will not be able to use them. We do have lots of great package and tour pass options on this page however. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Blanche G. Hamner

Where is the boarding location for the horse carriage ride? Do we pay at time of boarding, or do we need advance paid tickets? The cost? Thank you.

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Blanche. We are not affiliated with the horse carriages in any way. We believe that you pay at the time of boarding. Don’t think you need advance tickets. They seem to line up along the north and south walls of the Alamo every night. We really have no idea how much it costs.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Jeannine. We do offer a Senior discount. It is available when you purchase tickets at our San Antonio Visitor Center location on the outside of the Menger Hotel.

  • Lauren

    Hi,
We are coming next week with our 3 year old and 1 year old. We plan to ride up top on your bus.
What restaurant recommendations do you have that are close to one of your stops? We’d like to be able to hop off and have a close walk for dinner.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Lauren. You will have dozens and dozens of restaurants that are close to our stops. You will have no problem finding a great one to dine at. Do you know what type of food you are interested in?

      • Lauren

Thank you! I forgot that your route is on the River Walk – we will get Mexican! Also, we’d like to ride the riverboat 2 days before riding the bus, so if I purchase a package online can I redeem my riverboat tickets at the riverboat or do I need to go to Alamo square to redeem tickets? Thanks again!

        • Admin Post author

          Lauren,

For Mexican food we would recommend Rio Rio Cantina. It is excellent. You can ride the boat before you do our tour but you will need to pick your tickets up at our Alamo Visitor Center on the outside of the Menger Hotel.

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon Diane. Our group discounts start at groups of 20 or more people. We do offer a Senior discount though. We do not sell it online however. You will need to purchase it at our San Antonio Visitor Center location on the outside of the Menger Hotel.

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon Beatrice. We do offer a Senior Discount price on our 24 hour and 48 hour tour passes. You have to purchase them at our San Antonio Visitor Center location on the outside of the Menger Hotel. We do not offer them on any of our sightseeing tour/attraction packages. We look forward to seeing you!

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Sydney. We have thought about that a lot but no we do not currently offer one. Would you be interested in that?

      • Sydney Mason

Very much so. I think if you had a local annual pass I know we would suggest our visitors purchase a tour and we would accompany them. It has been our experience that your drivers all add a little extra something so I doubt we would get bored. Cost of course would be a deciding factor but we are new to SA, previous RVers and came from a community that has the discretionary income to travel, so we expect many visitors from throughout the US.

  • Ken Wooten

I have a group of 13 students and 8 adults coming to San Antonio March 24, 2017. I am interested in the group taking the sightseeing tour. It is a one day tour. What is the group cost for the school group.

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Ken. We passed your note along to our Management Team and they will contact you directly. Thanks for thinking of us and we look forward to seeing you all!

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Jim. You can print it on your printer if you have one. If you do not have one we can send you one of our brochures. It has a very large route map in it. Can you give us your address?

  • Deborah Derleth

I’m planning a trip on May 16th and will be staying till June 6th. I’ll be traveling from Kerrville. You said you make many stops. Where do you stop so I can plan ahead to wheather I want to get off the bus. I do not know the area at all but when we get off how much walking is it to get back on. Will the prices be the same in May.

    • Admin Post author

Hello Juanita! Yes of course our buses are handicapped accessible. And yes, it is when you hop on and hop off too. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Lynn Rostad-Anderson

Hi! I have a bus tour traveling to San Antonio and I would like to take them on the hop on hop off and the river cruise. We will be there for one day, I am assuming package “F” is the one I want. I have a few more questions….If I purchase the tickets in advance, would you send them to me or do I pick them up at a “will call” window? Do you offfer any group rates? And, if they want to tour the Alamo, will they have to pay extra? Thank you for your help! Lynn-Turquoise Tomato Trip

  • Lorraine

If I purchase a package online, will I be able to print the tickers and use. Or do I have to pick them up? Can I start my ride at any stop? If I stay at the Tropicana, can I start my ride at that stop?

    • Admin Post author

Yes Lorraine, if you purchase online you print the voucher and then come to our San Antonio Visitor Center to get you attractions tickets. Yes you can get on at the El Tropicano. But if you have purchased a tour/attractions package you will have to get off at our Visitor Center to get your attractions tickets. Our drivers do not carry them. We look forward to seeing you!

        • Lorraine

I just purchased my package. The email confirmation does not allow me to print the tickets for the bus online. I do want to be able to print the bus ticket and then hop off and get other items I need. I did not want to have to go anywhere to get initial bus ticket. And your previous reply to my first comment said that I could do that.

  • Lorraine

Good morning Lorraine. Just print out any one of the three emails you have received and show it to our driver at the stop where you want to get on. You will have to get off at our San Antonio Visitor Center stop to receive your attractions tickets however. Our drivers do not carry them on the buses.

  • Matt

we’ll be in San Antonio this April. We saw an ad for the bus tour, but I was wondering if the river-walk boat ride included with the 48 hr tickets?

    • Admin Post author

Hello Matt. The river boat tour is not included in our basic 48 hour tour pass but is included in many of our tour/attraction passes.

    • Admin Post author

Hello Genny. That is great! Just purchase it online and bring the confirmation email you receive to our San Antonio Visitor Center on the outside of the Menger Hotel. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Rustine Nava

Our bus driver was on his first solo trip today. He did an amazing job of driving carefully and giving us a guide to what we were seeing. Well worth doing again!

  • Monica

I live in San Antonio, I would like a tour on a weekend with my 4 year old & myself, how much would be just for us two?
    Thank you.

    • Admin Post author

Hi Dan. Yes we have a Military rate but it is only available if you purchase at our San Antonio Visitor Center location. Our Adult 24 hour pass is $31, and our Adult 48 hour pass is $37 for members of the Military. The best value however is our current online sale of our 48 hour tour pass at $27.99. But you can only get that if you buy online. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Lu Lu

Hello, 4 of us are coming to San Antonio for the first time on this 4th of July weekend. Should we purchase the Tour Package now or wait a little longer? Thank you!

    • Admin Post author

Hi Lu Lu. You can purchase your tickets whenever you like but remember our lowest prices are online. And the Early Summer Sale we are running now is the best sale we have ever offered. So if you want the best value, you might want to buy them now. We look forward to seeing you!

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Judith. We really do not have anything like that although we have talked about it quite a bit. What would you be looking for?

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Marley. All of our prices and packages are shown on this page. Our best value is the 48 hour tour pass which is now on sale for just $27.99.

  • Donna Parker

I am attempting to purchase the online Early Summer Sale tour tickets for $27.99 per adult but the sale price doesn’t reflect during the checkout.

    • Admin Post author

Hello Donna. We just tested the system and the sale price is showing up. It is $27.99. There will of course be tax added to that at check out but everything is working. We look forward to seeing you!

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Ray. The only product we have that costs $17 is the Child 24 Hour Tour Pass. Is that what you are interested in purchasing?

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Alyssa. Yes of course it is ok to bring a stroller on board. And yes, your 5 month old is more than welcome to ride with you. We look forward to seeing you all!

    • Admin Post author

Good morning Rosea. 2 emails have been sent to that email address and we just sent a third. Let us know if you did not receive them. We look forward to seeing you!

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Charlotte. There is nothing different from a tour pass and a hop on, hop off pass. You can choose to just ride the tour bus or get off and on wherever you want. It is completely up to you!

  • ROSA EMERSON

There is family package price of 105.00 for 2 adults and 3 children. Is that for the hop on hop off bus and does it include a river cruise tour also?

    • Admin Post author

Good evening Rosa. All our tours are hop on, hop off, so yes it includes that. No it does not include a boat tour.

  • Barry E W

We will be in San Antonio for only one day and are interested in only a 24 Hour Tour Pass. We saw one listed on the Visitsanantlnio.com website that we are thinking of purchasing. It is advertised as 24 Hour Double Decker Tour. Is this a hop on hop off tour?

  • Rose

I will be in San Antonio for only one day, 30 August ,and would like to take advantage of the hop on hop off tour bus. Could I purchase a ticket on the bus; and what would be the cost? Can I hop on at any of the stops or do I need to start at your base?

    • Admin Post author

Hi Rose. Yes you can purchase a ticket on the bus but the lowest costs are here online. If you purchase on the bus the 24 hour tour pass will cost $34. We currently have an online sale going on our 48 hour tour pass for $27.99. The best thing for you to do is to just purchase our July Super Sale pass and just use it for the 1 day you are here. That is the lowest cost option. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Michael Thames

We are San Antonio tx and wanting to ride the tour bus. Not wanting to do on and off just stay on. Are we able to do that? If so how much for adults and child?

    • Admin Post author

Hello Michael. All our tours are hop on, hop off but you do not have to do that. The prices are the same whether you do or do not. All of our prices are shown above on this page. There is no price difference based on if you want to hop on and off or do not want to. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Sara Herrera

Do the busses have wheel chairs accesibility??
And according with this question what package could you suggest for us…
My boyfriend is in a wheel chair. We live in Devine and we are planning to visit different places in San Antonio as weekends enterteinment… we would appreciate your advice.. thanks!!

    • Admin Post author

Good afternoon Sara. Yes of course the buses are wheelchair accessible. As far as what package we would suggest, that completely depends on what you both like to do. We look forward to seeing you!

  • ADeibler

Hello, I am looking to purchase tickets, but won’t be traveling until October. I want to make sure that I can use them then, or is it best to wait? Also, what is included in the “July Super Sale” ticket? Is that only for the tour, for 3 days, but doesn’t include any admissions or the Riverwalk Cruise?

    • Admin Post author

Good evening. You absolutely can use the July Super Sale tickets in October. The Super Sale only includes the tour and no tickets for boat rides or any attractions. We look forward to seeing you!
